LiveNation TV: Stylings

Since 1997, Pusha T has been coming to London to find that coat, that shirt, that hat, that one article of clothing no one else has yet. This is all even before his historic three-album run with Clipse—his hip-hop project with No Malice and The Neptunes—and his solo career took off. For P, he believes that fashion is all about bucking trends, being the first to show up, and doing it with flare and confidence. “That’s always the energy in the hip-hop culture as well,” says Pusha, “I got it first, being competitive.”

Over ten years after Pusha started frequenting London streetwear shops, he and No Malice started their own clothing company Play Cloths out of Virginia Beach, where the two hail from. The bold yet populist style of Play Cloths reflects Clipse’s iconoclastic music in the early 2000s, and since Pusha has signed with Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music, and most recently, took over as president, he’s only amplified his aesthetic in all directions. His supremely anticipated sophomore album Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude will be out this Friday, December 18, and his tour kicks off March 3.

On the latest episode of Stylings, Pusha T and his stylist Marcus Paul head to the chic London menswear store Hostem to peruse outfits, find inspiration for Play Cloths, and talk about the harmony of fashion and music in hip-hop.

#Epic Finish

Styling for the Finish Line commercial #Epic Finish starring Big Sean and Anthony Davis.

The rule books tell you where you start and how to finish… But that’s not the whole story.
It’s not what you wear
but how you wear it.
It’s about what you
bring to the game.
And how you leave it.

NBA FASHION: Tristan Thompson’s Balenciaga Sneakers & Leather Pants

Cleveland Cavaliers star Tristian Thompson is definitely a guy to watch for when it comes to style. He has a very clean-cut look which favors pieces of high-end designers.

Here are two similar looks Trisitan assembled consisting of red Balenciaga sneakers, and leather Pants. I love how the majority of his attire consisted of subtle hues, while his Balenciagas brought that pop of red to his looks.

“Trendy” Tristan Thompson Bobblehead Design

Fashion is a big part of the NBA. Many players have made fashion a competition to see who can be the most stylish one for pre/post game attire. Last week the Cleveland Cavaliers took things to the next level on their bobblehead night. While fans were able to pick up a bobblehead of power forward Tristan Thompson in the gold Cavs uniform, there was also a new, more fashionable bobblehead dubbed “Trendy Tristan”.

The 1/50 bobblehead was given away to fans in a text to win promotion. Designed with help from Thompson’s stylist, Marcus Paul, the bobblehead features a runway shirt from Lanvin, white Balenciaga shoes and jeans from 3×1, a denim company out of New York that specializes in bespoke denim.

Tristan even appeared wearing the same outfit as his bobblehead, in weird, Mini Me fashion. Tristan-with-Tristan-bobblehead

Staying true to the brand’s bold graphic aesthetic, a beautiful lion graphic has been created. The graphic has been placed around the collar of a black T-shirt, yet another signature look and graphic placement of County of Milan. The limited edition T-shirt is available now through the official County of Milan online store.
